U.S. Department of Energy Tribal Program: Richland Operations Office. The Nez Perce Tribe, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation, Yakama Nation and Wanapum have cultural ties or treaty rights to the lands of the Hanford nuclear site in southeastern Washington state.
