The health of rangeland biodiversity is an important component of reporting on rangeland condition and ecologically sustainable management. However, there is only limited capability to report trends in biodiversity in rangelands at the national scale because of inconsistencies between jurisdictions in data collection, data gaps and limited specific monitoring of biodiversity.
