Body
Rangelands of the western United States are subjected to a variety of drastic disturbances which necessitate reclamation for impact mitigation. Crested wheatgrass may play an important role in the revegetation phase of the reclamation process. Characteristics of the species governing its use in revegetation are discussed, and its past and present performance on drastically disturbed lands is reviewed. Conclusions and recommendations are drawn on the proper future role of crested wheatgrass in disturbed land reclamation.
