Economic Value of Crested Wheatgrass: A Case Study
Author

Body

The purpose of this paper are to define as a case study the economics of crested wheatgrass seedings when grazed under traditional spring/fall grazing patterns, and to contrast this with seeding economics when the stand is an integral part of a deferred/rest rotation grazing system. The major conclusion is that crested wheatgrass seeding will not always be profitable. the seeding must "fit-in" and alleviate seasonal forage constraints on the ranch.
