The objective of this video is to show rangeland owners and managers the What, Why, When, Where and How of using Residual Dry Matter or RDM to monitor rangelands in California. Specific RDM guidelines or objectives for three types of California's grasslands will also be explained.
Residual dry matter or RDM is a standard used by land management agencies for assessing the level of grazing use on annual rangeland and associated savannas and woodlands.
