Many graziers could make better use of climatic information. The Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Department of Primary Industries are collaborating with the Bureau of Meteorology to provide a large range of climatic decision-support information products using a range of delivery vehicles.
The information products are linked to, arid integrated with, a range of tools (for example AUSTRALIAN RAINMAN) developed for use by graziers to help them make better weather-related decisions. New products are developed with graziers' input. Training packages have also been developed to help graziers better understand weather systems and improve skills in managing for climatic variability.
