SRM by-laws specifically mention policy statements, position statements, and resolutions as a way to speak for the profession of range management (Article XI, d). There is a need to review the purpose for which these documents are intended, and to evaluate if they are achieving their goals. New opportunities for interacting with the public have emerged, along with the need to respond more quickly. Members have questioned the ability and need for SRM to speak for the entire membership. Join us for a review of how documents are currently produced, what improvements might be needed, and a blueprint for the future of SRM advocacy.
