The City of Tucson owns 21,000 acres within Avra Valley which sits west of the City limits and supports several federally recognized species. In order to comply with the Endangered Species Act, the City developed this habitat management plan which, after approval by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will guide management of the area for the next 50 years.
