The Altar Valley Conservation Alliance (AVCA) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization focused on addressing the issues facing the Altar Valley watershed through collaborative, science-based, and community supported activities. AVCA has its roots in 1995, but became a professional organization complete with a Board of Directors, a variety of task forces, staff, and funding to complete restoration projects in 2010. The AVCA website provides a history of the organization and its activities and includes links to valley news, general information about the watershed and many other pertinent resources.
