This report, contracted by Pima County and completed by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, analyzes the results of several years of field studies focused on the Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy Owl in Pima and Pinal Counties. The report's three reccommendations for land managers include: to protect the remaining dispersal corridors in northwest Tucson, to identify and protect an interconnected system of habitat to facilitate exchange between population segments and to work with the Tohono O'odham Nation in developing land mangement strategies for owl habitat.
