This report is a summary of numerous biological and ecological assements from Arizona and New Mexico whose intended purpose was to inform the United States Forest Service as it worked to update its Forest Management Plan. The five focus areas of the report include the extent and distribution of natural vegetation types, low-elevation grasslands, and stream reaches with native fish, as well as the species richness and conservation status of all species in the forest, and the identification of priority areas for biodiversity. Region 3 includes parts of the Altar Valley and the Baboquivari Mountains.
