Karen Hickman of Oklahoma State University takes us on a tour of the TNC's Tall Grass Prairie reserve. She explains the relations between historical Bison grazing, periodic fire, and drought in shaping the Tall grass prairie. With Valerie Cook, also of Oklahoma State, Karen examines a common invasive the plant Sericea lespedeza in the reserve and how fire, grazing, and herbicide application are used to control it.
