Body

A quadrat 2 inches square satisfactorily sampled frequency distribution of blue grama but a complementary quadrat 16 inches square was needed to sample associated species. A tallying technique was developed using beads and plastic tubes. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
