Ratios of twig weight or twig plus leaf weight to twig length in flowering dogwood plants vary meaningfully by season, geographic location, and year. Where the weight of new growth is predicted from twig lengths, the ratio of weight to length should be determined for the population being studied. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
