An apparatus has been designed and tested for measuring area of detached leaves of all shapes. The apparatus is easy to operate and gives accurate results rapidly. Measurement variability is generally less than 1%. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
