Studies of range restoration problems required determination of seasonal variation of maximum air temperatures near the soil surface. More accurate sampling of this important environmental factor is now possible with responsive, easily read, maximum temperature indicators, operating between 38 and 62 C. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
