Cannulated steers were used in a short-term pen study to determine the effects of rumen digestion on pepperweed seed germination in two experiments. Experiment 1: examined seed germination following ruminal incubation for 48, and 96 hours. Experiment 2: measured seed germination following incubation in water for 48 hours, and complete digestive tract incubation.
