Burning different portions of a range in winter, spring, and summer provided adequate protein in herbage for a much longer period than winter burning alone. Phosphorus was deficient the year round, regardless of burning schedule. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
