A preliminary sample of five High Sierra Nevada meadows in California ranged from 835 to 1,436 lb/acre of herbaceous material, with sedges contributing more than grasses. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
