Body

The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility of using imazapic and seeding to control cheatgrass and annual forbs to create fuelbreaks. The study was located in a Wyoming big sagebrush plant community near Carson City, Nevada. Four treatments (imazapic applied at 105 g ai/ha, seeding of site, imazapic and seeding together and control) were applied to plots established within an existing fuel break established the year before. Plots were evaluated one and two years after treatment.
