Body

Seven years of study of the various species and forms of sagebrush (Artemisia spp.) found in Nevada reveal that although there are about 28 different sagebrushes, there are only 4 of grazing importance. Thin-layer chromatography was used to identify the sagebrushes and a system of identification using leaf shape has been devised. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
