Resistance of Kochia scoparia to feeding damage by grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Acrididae)

Vegetative and animal samples were taken over a two year period near Swift Current, Saskatchewan (50° 25' N; 107° 40' W) to determine feeding damage by grasshoppers on kochia plants. Four sites with 10 (10 x 50 m) plots, five kochia dominated plots and five plots on adjacent agricultural lands were established. Samples were taken every two weeks during the summer.
