Body
A three year study in Montana (45° 40' N; 111° 33' W) examined the cumulative effects of sheep grazing on leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula) infested rangelands. Plant density of Idaho fescue and bluebunch wheatgrass and stem density of Leafy spurge and frequency of other species were measured before each grazing season and nine months after the last grazing period. Ten soil core samples were taken before and after grazing to measure the viable seedbank of leafy spurge.
