Why grazing permits have economic value

Body

The validity of the traditional model used to assess the value of public land grazing permits was examined (whichever word you choose works for me). Hedonic ranch value models developed for New Mexico, Great Basin area (northern NV, southern ID and eastern OR) are used to compare beef production importance with other ranch values. Example from both New Mexico and the Great basin were used to estimate the changes in permit value as grazing use, feeds and public land acreages change.
