Author

Body

A pair of Hairy woodpeckers were inspecting burned trees for a tasty lunch while I collected data on a post-fire restoration site. The area had been a pinyon-juniper woodland ecosystem prior to the burn and restoration efforts were focused on restoring biodiversity to the intensive areas of the burn.
