Breeding cattle grazed Cenchrus ciliaris continuously for four years. Excellent calving percentages (mean 95,25%) and good weaning masses (mean 245 kg) were obtained, the A.D.G.?s being 0,963 kg for heifers and 1,075 kg for bulls. The system was planned to eliminate grazing management as a factor.
