Two computer models of beef enterprises are explained. STOCKFLOW generates monthly herd structures based on 13 animal groups, each comprising animals with similar feed requirements, while FEEDNEED computes the feed requirements of each group. These models use the VISICALC program on an Apple II microcomputer.
