Blowouts on sandy soils in the Great Plains can be controlled by leveling hummocks and shaping sharp banks, developing sorghum stubble and seeding warm-season grasses into the stubble. This practice will provide grazeable forage and reduce damage to adjacent areas by wind-blown soil. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
