Yield and nutrient content of herbage on burned plots differed little from that on plots that were closely mowed and raked. Thus, the beneficial effects of burning were attributed mainly to litter removal. This material was digitized as part of a cooperative project between the Society for Range Management and the University of Arizona Libraries.
