The Festival de Transhumancia is a celebration of the historic passing of thousands of sheep and goats led by their pastoralists through the streets of Madrid in their seasonal migration. The festival was reinvigorated in the 1990s and in 2025 (Oct 19th) 100s of 1000s of people took to the streets to join in the event and pet a few sheep.
